Enter the store and travel to the Harajuku district in Tokyo—known for the lavishly dressed girls who hang out there—where you can sample sweet bubble teas and green tea ice cream, and get a Harajuku-inspired makeover. The collection—which hits stores in November—is only available during FNO in limited supply. To add to the excitement, the first 100 customers can get their perfume bottles signed by Gwen Stefani, who will be in the store at 10:00 p.m. But don’t worry—even if you miss the cutoff, you will still have a chance to enter to win tickets to the L.A.M.B. fashion show on September 16th. No doubt pregnancy’s just another opportunity for the singer to get creative with her couture. Gwen wowed at the 2006 Grammys in an awesome ombre cheetah-print gown.

Exclaim — With the filmography of Sofia Coppola, the soundtracks are just as exciting as the movies. In fact, some would argue that they’re the only redeeming value of otherwise shoddy filmmaking. After all, when you have the likes of Kevin Shields or baby daddy/Phoenix frontman Thomas Mars in the fold, it’s hard not to compile great soundtracks. For her upcoming feature, Somewhere, the accompanying music looks to maintain that quality control.

While an interview with Mars earlier this year suggested Phoenix would be recording the bulk of the soundtrack, a tracklisting leaked on The Playlist suggests otherwise. The record does start and finish with different versions of Phoenix’s “Love Like a Sunset,” but in between those tracks is a widely diverse array of artists, including Foo Fighters, the Police, Amerie, T. Rex, Gwen Stefani, Sebastian Tellier and Bryan Ferry. Also in there is the Kiss track “Love Theme From Kiss,” which kick-started Phoenix’s Kitsuné Tabloid mix, and a demo of the Strokes’ “I’ll Try Anything Once.”

The Playlist bloggers discovered this tracklisting through the Italian distributor for Somewhere. As such, the soundtrack does not have a release date yet, and some details are missing, including the reason Gwen Stefani’s “Cool” is on there twice. Outside of that, however, it looks like an eclectic and highly enjoyable mix.

Somewhere is due to hit theatres on December 22.

Tony Kanal Wikipedia — Tony Kanal (born Tony Ashwin Kanal; August 27, 1970) is a British-born American musician, record producer and songwriter. Kanal is the bassist for the American rock band No Doubt. His musical work outside of the band includes producing and songwriting with artists such as reggae singer Elan Atias and fellow No Doubt bandmate Gwen Stefani, among others.

Kanal’s father Gulab and his mother Lajju are from India. His parents emigrated from India to London, England, where Kanal was born. While most of his early years were spent in London, Kanal and his family also spent brief periods living in Toronto, Canada and Indiana before eventually returning to London. At age eleven, he and his family moved again to the United States and settled in Anaheim, California. There, his parents opened a store named “Kanal’s Gifts and Fashion”.

Kanal’s father suggested that Kanal learn to play the saxophone since it was the former’s favorite instrument, so he bought one for Kanal. Kanal later learned how to play the bass from his schoolmate Dave Carpenter. After seeing one of third wave ska band No Doubt’s early shows, he joined the band as its bassist. Kanal stated that his parents were ultimately supportive of his decision to pursue a career in music; however, they had wanted him “to go into a safe profession” and often reprimanded him for devoting so much time to music, sometimes at the expense of school.

Kanal enrolled at California State University, Fullerton to major in psychology. In October 1991, No Doubt hit the studio with help of producer Dito Godwin. When Interscope Records began turning songs down, No Doubt did it on their own. Over two years they recorded ten songs and released it independently.

When No Doubt went on hiatus, Kanal began a career behind the mixing console. In 2004, Kanal produced three songs for the soundtrack to 50 First Dates. Also in 2004, Kanal produced and co-wrote three tracks on Gwen Stefani’s first solo album Love.Angel.Music.Baby.. Kanal then produced Elan Atias’s debut album, Together as One, which was released in June 2006. Kanal again worked with Gwen Stefani for her follow-up solo album The Sweet Escape, released in 2006. He has created several remixes, including ones of Stefani’s “Hollaback Girl” and Gang of Four’s “Ether”. Kanal produced the song “Rent” for the ska punk band Pepper’s 2006 album No Shame.

In 2008, he collaborated on two songs titled “Sober” and “Funhouse” with Pink for her album Funhouse and also sang back-up on “Crystal Ball”.

In late 2009, Kanal co-wrote and played bass for a song of former Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt’s debut solo album.

With Stefani promoting her second solo album, No Doubt began initial work on a new album without her and planned to complete it after Stefani’s tour was finished. In March 2008, the band started making posts concerning the progression of the album on their official fan forum. Stefani made a post on March 28, 2008 stating that songwriting had commenced but was slow on her end because she was, at the time, pregnant with her second child.

Manager Jim Guerinot said the yet-untitled album is being produced by Mark “Spike” Stent, who helped produce and mix Rock Steady. Between Stefani’s pregnancy and recording, No Doubt did not tour in 2008, but Guerinot promised, they plan to hit the road hard in 2009 for their first full-fledged band tour in nearly five years.

No Doubt announced on their official website that they would tour in the summer of 2009 with Paramore, The Sounds, Janelle Monáe, Bedouin Soundclash, Katy Perry, and Panic! at the Disco. while finishing their upcoming album, which is set for release in 2010.

In 2009, No Doubt made an appearance on the television series Gossip Girl, playing a fictional band called “Snowed Out” in the episode “Valley Girls”. They performed their cover version of the Adam and the Ants song “Stand and Deliver”.

Adrian Young Wikipedia — Young’s parents were hippies. He has four brothers: Alex, Damian, Jeff and Aaron. His father is a teacher at Lexington Junior High School in Cypress, California.

By the 1990s California music scene. He began attending No Doubt’s concerts after they formed in 1987. The same year he began playing the drums. In 1989, No Doubt announced that they were looking for a new drummer, and Young auditioned. At the audition, he lied saying that he had been playing for some time now.

Young is known among fans for his affinity for wearing a thong, tutu and a mohawk during performances. He can often be seen shirtless and in his thong in the band’s music videos.

When not performing and touring, Young likes to spend his time out on the golf courses as he is an avid golf player. Young participated in VH-1’s Fairway to Heaven during 1998.

In October 1999, on the last night of the California Club Tour at The Fillmore in San Francisco, California, Adrian proposed to his girlfriend Nina Kent on stage in front of the thousand-plus fans. Young kneeled down on one knee, professed his love and asked her to marry him. On 16 January 2000, Young married his fiancée, Nina Kent. Kent gave birth to a son, Mason James Young on 9 February 2002. During gaps between No Doubt albums, Young tours with such bands as Bow Wow Wow and Bing Ji Ling, playing the drums. He also played the drums on many of the tracks on Here’s to the Mourning, the 2005 album by alternative rock band, Unwritten Law, as well as the 2006 release “Awakened by Silence” from the band VAJA.

Young will play on Rockstar: Supernova runner-up Dilana’s upcoming album. On 28 November 2006, Dilana released the first singles “Supersoul”, and a cover of The Police classic “Roxanne” on iTunes, Napster and other digital download websites.

Young will also play drums on Scott Weiland’s second solo album Happy In Galoshes recorded by Steve Albini.

Gwen and Kingston were snapped visiting her family in West Hollywood earlier this morning.

Thanks to Rosie for the heads up, but in a new illustrated interview with Vibe magazine, rapper Nicki Minaj mentions Gwen in a list of artists that she would like to work with.
