i’d heard nd in the early 90s, but it wasnt til i saw the DS video that i absolutely fell in love.

It’s got to be Gwen’s abs, blond hair, and dark eyes. It’s got to be that time in 1995 when they opened KROQ accoustic xmas when I was in the back row of the balcony. It’s got to be the Hawain vacation we all were on this past August. Good times.

OMFG! I remember the day I fell in love with No Doubt like it was yesterday.
Back in 1997, I was at a roller skating rink with my older sister and her then boyfriend and I was trying to skate and not fall down. Didn’t work out that way, lol.
Anyway, I tried to skate again and as I was hold onto the wall for dear life, I heard Don’t Speak on the loud speakers. I was in a trance when I heard that song. I didn’t know who it was then, but sometime after that, I heard the same song on the radio and they said it was No Doubt that sang it. I then ran to the store to buy the album and I’ve been a majorly HUGE fan of them since I was 14. I’m 27 now and they are and will forever be my most favorite band in the entire universe.
Oh and I like the L.A.M.B. LADIES Night at the Opera Watch in White from shopadornonline.com
It’s really cute and sassy.

I first fell in love with No Doubt when I heard Spiderwebs at one of my friends’ sleepovers on a shuffle playlist – she had Tragic Kingdom, and I loved the song so much I borrowed the album the next day and couldn’t stop listening to it, especially after I heard more amazing songs like Don’t Speak and Just A Girl. <3
Posted by Sophie on Jan 24, 2010
When I heard Don’t Speak for the first time it was weird – I didn’t know the words but I could remember the tune as if I’d heard it played before when I was little. That makes sense because I was only 2 when Don’t Speak was released! Thank you, 90s radio
Posted by Sophie on Jan 24, 2010
I also remember when I heard Hey Baby for the first time as a fan – I could remember the words for the chorus as if I’d heard it years ago, it was great

I was a fan of Gwen before No Doubt, and I remember one night when I was 8 or 9, and my dad came home with a copy of Love.Angel.Music.Baby for me to listen to, he thought I’d like it. When he went home I listened to it for the first time and thought, wow, this is amazing.

I fall in love with No Doubt months after I started to listen to Gwen Stefani.
Because of my age, I was born in 92′, the only song of ND that I knew were “Don’t Speak” and “It’s my life” (everyone listen to this song in 2004). So I discovered in first Gwen Stefani with her brand new solo music. Then, I started to look for older songs of her. I was listening more and more ND’s songs. I don’t know exactly when but one day, I realized that the best part of my favorite singer was in this amazing 90′ band. I wish I was born earlier for knowing the band in this glorious period. After I bought all the CDs months after months. Gwen still had an amazing voice but the “Sweet Escape” disappointing me and I missed so much the band. Since this moment, my biggest wish is to see them in concert.
Posted by Mnon on Jan 24, 2010
I like to describe myself more like a ND’s fan than a Gwen’s fan. Of course she’ll be my hero for the rest of my life but No Doubt is reallu different. I know that I’m not the “biggest/older” fan of them but.. I love them so badly, you have no idea. I never saw them in real and the new album which is comming make me feel … waw, I don’t even call it. This would be the first album wich I could buy at this release ! No Doubt’s songs are just like me, all the music, the gwen voices, made of this band my music soulmate. I’ll never know another music like it.
Here I am, that was my pleasure to write this, maybe more pleasant than winning this contest

In 1995, I was a senior in high school and I remember turning on MTV one late night to watch some music videos and Just A Girl came on. I was instantly memorized by the guitar riffs, Gwen’s unique voice and the song’s message. The sound was unlike anything I had heard on the radio at the time. I was also intrigued by Gwen’s unique look, she was a modern day pinup; drop dead gorgeous and feminine, yet really poweful and tough. I thought, I need to know more about this band and went out and bought their album and fell in love. Cut to 2010, 15 years later and I’m still in love with No Doubt like the first night I laid eyes on them.

One Saturday morning back in ‘95 (when Grunge was all the rage) I was vaccuming the living room with MTV blaring, I suddenly heard a something that I had never heard before. It was not Soundgarden, it was not Nirvana, and it was not The Offspring..and no it wasnt Pearl Jam either (although all those bands are great too) I turned around, switched off the vaccum cleaner and stood there absolutely mesmerized for the entire three minutes and thirty something seconds of the video. It was bright, it was colourful, it made me wanna jump around the living room, it had a killer guitar riff, gorgeous FEMALE lead singer with infectious vocals…
It was No Doubt, Just A Girl, and its been love ever since…

I kinda liked ND when I heard the Don’t Speak song…but to be 100% honest, I didn’t really fall in love with them until the day I saw the video “Hella Good” lol I thought holy crap who made this awesome video! It said NO DOUBT I was like omg I like them! Then I got a little obsessed with the song and then I started loving LAMB. But I remember always really liking No Doubt. Except maybe during the ROS phase. I was like omg she’s copying pink! lol but I was young and retarded then
I liked Aqua before I like ND. SAD!!!!! lol
Later on, ND and Gwen’s lyrics really helped me through some tough shit. I’ll never forget that.

I love her in ND more so than on her own but I love her no matter what really. I’m always going to support her no matter what. She saved my life…literally. If it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t have even tried to recover from a deadly eating disorder. She also helped me with some confidence issues.

How I fell in love with No Doubt:
About 5 years ago when I was 9 I would watch music videos on MTV and Vh1 every morning while I was getting ready, but, the ones that appealed to me the most were the Gwen Stefani videos. They were just so unique and different. I then started listening to her all the time.
On December 19, 2005, my dad took me to see the Harajuku Lover’s Tour. That day I fell in love. I wanted to know more about this amazing woman who was such an inspiration and an amazing role model.
I then saw she used to be in a band called No Doubt and started listening to them as well. I recognized alot of their songs from my parents playing them and hearing them on the radio. I then started listening to No Doubt all the time and eventually liked their music together more than Gwen’s solo. I was addicted. Nobody could get me to shut-up about them after that. :]
On June 5th, 2009 I got to go see them on the Reunion tour. I was at the very front of the pit, and crying and freaking out the entire time. While she was singing I was trying to hand Gwen a Harajuku Lover’s pin. She took notice to me and after the song, while she was on stage, she took the Harajuku pin and told me thankyou and that she loved me too even though she didn’t know me. :]
At the end of the concert she came down in front of the pit and at that time I got a hug and a picture with her. :]
It was the best day of my life.
The video of me meeting her: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KtPayrHrJ0c
Another video someone else recorded of me meeting her:

However, this changed when I watched the 2003 Grammy awards where No Doubt performed a medley of Underneath It All and Hella Good. I was drawn into the performance and the energy they had on stage. I wanted to hear all their songs. After that, I started listening to their other songs and bought their albums … I was hooked.

Their first performance on “The Late Show with David Letterman”- they played “Just A Girl”. I was 13 years old and all I can remember is thinking that it was the most brilliant song I had ever heard in my life, and started fashioning my own bindis out of glitter and paint and wore them to school everyday for about 6 months. I took alot of crap for that, but I didn’t care.

I was 6. At about 7, before the age of CD’s, I bought Tragic Kingdom on cassette with months of saved up allowances, great success

I fall in love with No Doubt when I listened first the Rock Steady Show on TV, at MusiquePlus. Hella Good was performed by the band and I was so impressed I didn’t know it was from No Doubt (which I only knew the Rock Steady cover at this time)! Now I listen to the band every day!

I fell in love with No Doubt in a little bedroom in Vermont. I remember hearing them on the radio and thinking that Gwen’s voice was so different and the band was so spunky. Of course it only got worse from there haha I loved Gwen’s style, the band’s music and lyrics, I liked that the guys reminded me of my brothers, and they seemed like they were such good friends like the kind I had back in those days.
I can’t wait for the new album and tour! I plan on seeing a few shows for sure!

I was about 11 (2001) when I first discovered No Doubt. I’d heard songs of theirs before (like Just a Girl and Don’t Speak), but didn’t really know who they were. This was the age that I started really exploring music, and No Doubt was my first love. <3 I'm still totally obsessed of course haha, but I was hooked the moment I was flipping channels and saw the Hey Baby video. Gwen was just so interesting to me; she looked like Marilyn Monroe, and I was sure I'd never seen someone so naturally beautiful. How crazy the band was, and how different from anything I'd ever seen, made me want to find out more about them. My goal in life has always been to be different and be myself, so Gwen became my role model for that, helped me see it was possible. I bought Tragic Kingdom after that, and have since collected every album of theirs, celebrated births and marriages with the band, and like everyone else I'm sure, am anxiously and excitedly awaiting the next awesome album!

what makes No Doubt so admirable is the fact that they are real people who have real issues just like us.. they have been through break ups, deaths, marriages, babies, solo work, side gigs, golfing, fashion…yet they still come back together and continue to make music that we all love! you guys are amazing!

i first fell in love with gwen’s album ‘love angel music baby’. I had heard some of no doubt’s music and thought i could check them out.At that time i was 13 and didnt really care for music until i heard gwen’s and no doubt’s music. i have loved them ever since and i always will! <3 I love their music, their style and … EVERYTHING! and i think its amazing how truly KIND and loving they are for their fans. They are all so down to earth and real. They are really good role models.
So now there's No Doubt in my mind
<3
Now No Doubt is my passion and there never goes a single day without me checking bso for news or me listening to their music. my biggest dream in this world is to see them live! I couldnt see them live last year since they didnt come to europe :/ but the next time they come to europe i will be the first in line

How I fell in love with the band? I was really young and my older sister was watching MTV. The good ol’ days. Anyway…I was smitten with the angelic voice that was singing “Don’t Speak”. Not only angelic but powerful, motivating! Since that day, I’m addicted to Ms. Stefani…
Happy Valentine’s Day BSO!
